In late December 2007, Tyler was selected for a grant to expand the current resources of the growing Spanish Immersion program. The grant was awarded by the Washington Post Company Educational Foundation through their Grants in Education program. The funds will be used as part of a larger initiative to purchase age-appropriate Spanish language books for each child in the program to own and take home.
